The method involves laying lacquer (16) with a slotted nozzle (22) on a substrate (14), and moving the substrate as continuous material at the stationary slotted nozzle. A film of varnish is applied with a lip (32) of the slotted nozzle, laid on the substrate. An independent claim is included for a method for production of a profile.

Verfahren zum Lackieren eines Substrats (14) mit einem strahlungshärtenden Lack (16), bei dem der Lack (16) mit einer Schlitzdüse (22) auf das Substrat (14) aufgetragen wird, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die auf das Substrat (14) aufgetragene Lackschicht mit einer Lippe (32) der Schlitzdüse (22) verstrichen wird.
