Abstract (en)

The method involves predicting creation of identification bookmarks (6) of media stream sections by users and utilizing the bookmarks so as to generate audience index (9) based on the media stream sections, where the bookmarks include a pointer indicating origin of media stream and another pointer identifying the section. Data relative to identification of visualized media stream (7) and the identification bookmarks created by the users are recorded by a Proxy server (3). An independent claim is also included for a media application server for measuring audience of media stream available on demand on an IMS network, comprising an audience index generation unit.

L'invention concerne un procédé de mesure de l'audience de flux média disponibles à la demande dans un réseau IMS, lesdits flux étant fournis à des utilisateurs d'un terminal (1) par des services média (2), ledit réseau IMS comprenant un serveur d'application média (4) relié au terminal (1) par l'intermédiaire d'un serveur mandataire (3), ledit procédé prévoyant la création par les utilisateurs de signets d'identification (6) de sections des flux média qu'ils visualisent et d'utiliser lesdits signets afin de générer (8) un indice d'audience (9) en fonction des sections des flux média. L'invention concerne également un serveur d'application média (5) comprenant des moyens de mise en oeuvre du procédé de mesure de l'audience.
