[origin: WO2008145694A1] The invention relates to a method for correcting a secondary current path (i2(t)) of a current converter (10) disturbed by saturation, wherein measurement values (i(n)) of the secondary current path (i2(t)) of the current converter (10) are acquired. The acquired measurement values (i(n)) are checked for a malfunction due to saturation and, if a malfunction due to saturation is present, a starting time (tstart) is determined, indicating the start of the saturation. The measurement values acquired after the starting time (tstart) are corrected by compensating the malfunction. In order to design a method of this kind such that is can be performed with a comparably low computing effort and without the necessity of the characteristic curves for the corresponding current converter, the invention proposes that, using measurement values acquired before the starting time (tstart), characteristic parameters of the secondary current path (i2(t)) when saturation is absent be determined and, using the characteristic parameters thus acquired, a correct path is computed for the measurement values captured after the starting time (tstart). The invention further relates to an accordingly equipped electric field device.
