[origin: EP2151307A1] The machine has a cutter bar (6) movable transverse to a transport direction (T) in a guide. A cutting grid (9) is provided at a distance from the cutter bar and operated against the cutter bar. The cutter bar forms a counter bearing for cutting the food. The cutting grid is arranged at a rocker arm (12) that is rotatably supported at a bearing axis (13), which is arranged transverse to the transport direction and moved to the cutting grid. The rocker arm is formed as a lever (22) and a working element (16) is engaged at the rocker arm for energy transmission.
