[origin: EP2151387A2] The method involves pressing a front cover (2) over its surface by a rolling motion of a partly curved pressing surface (10) formed at an individual pressing element (5), and is carried out at the front side (3) of the material web roll (4). The rolling motion of the pressing surface is adjusted by dimensioning the pressing surface, and by arrangement of the storage of the pressing element, particularly adjustment and degrees of freedom of the individual bearings. An independent claim is included for a device for fastening of front covers at a front side of a material web rolls.
