Abstract (en)

The radiator (1) has a gas permeable plate (4) for closing a mixing chamber (3). A combustion chamber (5) is attached to the gas permeable plate and is limited by a pre-radiator body (6) that consists of bars (7). The bars are provided with a cross section over a large part of the length of the bars, where the contour of the cross section has length-increasing deviations in recesses and/or bulges by a geometrical basic shape on a partial periphery. The radiator is made of silicon carbide, molybdenum silicide or iron-chromium-aluminum present in heating conductor alloy.

Abstract (de)

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Infrarot-Strahler für gasförmige oder flüssige Brennstoffe mit einer Mischkammer für Luft und Brennstoff, einer diese Mischkammer abschließenden gasdurchlässigen Platte und einem sich daran anschließenden Brennraum, der durch einen Vorstrahlkörper begrenzt ist, der aus zylindrischen Stäben besteht. Man will den Wirkungsgrad derartiger Infrarot-Strahler erhöhen. Dazu ist vorgesehen, den Stäben (7) des Vorstrahlkörpers (6) zumindest über den größten Teil ihrer Länge einen Querschnitt zu verleihen, dessen Kontur zumindest auf einem Teilumfang streckenvergrößernde Abweichungen, insbesondere Vertiefungen und/oder Erhöhungen, von seiner geometrischen Grundform aufweist.
