[origin: EP2151655A2] The heat exchanger (10) comprises a block for guiding and separating the two heat exchangeable fluids from each other. A case (3) is assigned to the block, which is fluidically connected with the flow channels. A base (1) is provided with one or multiple through-holes for the feedthrough of the flow channels between the block and the case. A flange (7) is provided, which has a ground level section at one side and an end sided section, where a wall cross section of the end sided section is lesser than a wall section of the ground level section. An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing a heat exchanger.
