[origin: WO2009149784A1] In a method of processing plaster elements, a laying unit comprising a number of plaster elements (12) and a corresponding joint pattern (14) is placed on a substantially smooth support (10) such that the plaster elements (12) are located one beside the other with play in relation to one another and to a surround (11). It is also the case that profile elements (18) made of a material which is harder than the material of the plaster elements (12) are arranged in the joint pattern (14) of the laying unit, on a side which is directed towards the visible surface of the plaster elements, and the support (10) and/or the profile elements (18) are/is made to vibrate. This method results in the plaster elements undergoing artificial ageing in which exclusively the corners and edges of the side of the visible surface of the plaster elements are irregularly broken without the visible surface itself being scratched.
