[origin: WO2008152270A2] The present invention relates to a stowable seat (1), in particular for a motor vehicle, comprising a seat part (10) mounted movably with respect to an understructure (30) between a use position and a storage position, a seat back (20) mounted pivotably with respect to the seat part (10), and means (40) for guiding the movement of the seat part between the use position (10) and the storage position. The invention is noteworthy in that the stowable seat (1) additionally comprises locking means (50) designed to block the movement of the seat part (10) directly on the understructure (30), independently of the guide means (40).
