Abstract (en)
A bathing environment such as a shower or a tub, has a knee wall (205) in a wall of the environment, a pedestal (215) disposed across from the knee wall, and a bench (210) supported by the knee wall (205) and the pedestal (215) so a user may slide across said bench (210) into said bathing environment. According to an embodiment of the invention, the pedestal (215) has a groove having a depth equal to a thickness of the bench (210) for receiving the bench (210) therein while maintaining a flush surface across the pedestal (215) and the bench (210) to allow a user to slide thereacross.
