[origin: EP2153992A1] In a sheet-fed printing press including; an impression cylinder gear (13) driven by an upstream drive motor (10A) of an upstream printing unit group (1A); an impression cylinder (3a) rotationally driven by the impression cylinder gear (13); a transfer cylinder gear (11) of a convertible press mechanism (2) rotationally driven by the upstream drive motor (10A) through the impression cylinder (13); and a transfer cylinder (6) which is provided with a notch and is rotationally driven by the transfer cylinder gear (11), a load motor (18A) is provided to the transfer cylinder (6) or the transfer cylinder gear (11), and braking force of the load motor (18A) is controlled according to load on the upstream drive motor (10A).
