[origin: EP2154374A2] The machine (1) has a housing (2) for accommodation of two gear wheels (10, 12) that are connected with one another and supported in bearing sleeves (24-30). A supporting element is designed as an angle profile with an axial side piece and a radial side piece for supporting a sealing element, where one of the side pieces in a longitudinal extension has a reduced cross section for local reduction of mechanical rigidity of the supporting element. The reduced cross section is designed by chamfering of the axial piece of the supporting element in the adjacent area to the sealing element.
