[origin: WO2008145448A1] In a method for the production of a fibrous web, particularly a paper or cardboard web, from a material suspension, the portions of the respective different solids in the material suspension are measured online by means of two sensors (12, 14) provided in the region of the material treatment for measuring the portions of different solids in the material suspension, and the total consistency of the material suspension is determined from the measured variables (18, 20) obtained from said sensors (12, 14). The invention further provides a corresponding device for the production of a fibrous web.
