[origin: WO2008145461A1] The invention relates to a module for the cooling circuit of an engine in an automobile, that comprises at least one control valve (18) allowing a flow according to at least one so-called nominal mode. The module further includes a thermal safety device (30) for said circuit, the thermal safety device (30) being capable of authorising a flow according to another so-called short-circuit mode in case of failure of the nominal flow mode. The invention can be used for automobiles.
