Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2008142054A2] The invention relates to a circuit-breaker for a motor vehicle, comprising a connector housing containing electrically connected plug-in contact elements and a socket housing containing socket contacts, said plug-in contact elements being connected to and disconnected from the socket contacts by means of an actuating lever. The connector housing has a fuse chamber, which accommodates a fuse that can be integrated into the power circuit and said fuse chamber has an opening, through which the fuse can be introduced into or removed from the fuse chamber. The opening can be closed by a positionable cover and the plug-in contacts cannot be electrically connected to the socket contacts when the cover is open.
