[origin: WO2008138751A1] The invention relates to a stove top arrangement having a hot plate (34) which has at least four heating zones (72, 74, 76, 78) of which at least one first heating zone and at least one second heating zone are substantially circular in shape, and having an operating element (15) which is designed as a module which is separate from the hot plate (34). In order to provide flexible usability of the heating zones (72, 74, 76, 78) and comfortable operation, it is suggested that the first and the second heating zones (72, 74) each have a diameter of at least approx. 180 mm.
