[origin: EP2157004A1] The system has two groups of vehicles e.g. cable car (3), uncoupled from a supporting and hoisting cable (1) in valley and mountain stations. A common entry and exit area is assigned to the groups of vehicles. Entry and/or exit doors of one group of vehicles are located at a side of the group of vehicles, and entry and/or exit doors of another group of vehicles are located at another side of the latter group of vehicles so that the doors are turned toward the area and/or a part of the groups of vehicles is formed with the doors on both sides and the respective doors facing the area are opened.
