The intermediate storage device (18) has a control device (68) which generates signal for controlling the conveying speed of a conveying mechanism (36). The control device is configured to receive control signal from a supplying device (10) connected upstream, and additional control signal from a stack processing device (20) connected downstream. The control device, in dependence on the control signal and additional control signal, is configured to control the conveying speed of conveying mechanism to adapt to the pulsing of the supplying device and stack processing device. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a stacking unit; and (2) an operating method of intermediate storage device.

Die erfindungsgemässe Zwischenspeichervorrichtung (10) zur Aufnahme von Stapeln (14) flächiger Produkte (16) von einer vorgeordneten Liefervorrichtung (10), zur Zwischenlagerung der Stapel (14) und zur anschliessenden Abgabe der Stapel (14) an eine nachgeordnete Stapelverarbeitungsvorrichtung (20) weist wenigstens ein Transportmittel (36) mit einem in eine Transportrichtung (T) bewegbaren Obertrum (34) auf, auf welchem zum Transport des Stapels (14) ein unterstes flächiges Produkt (16u) des Stapels (14) wenigstens teilweise aufliegt. Die Zwischenspeichervorrichtung (10) verfügt zudem über eine Steuervorrichtung (68), die ein Signal zur Steuerung einer Transportgeschwindigkeit des Transportmittels (36) erzeugt. Erfindungsgemäss ist die Steuervorrichtung (68) befähigt, ein Steuersignal von der vorgeordneten Liefervorrichtung (10) und ein weiteres Steuersignal von der nachgeordneten Stapelverarbeitungsvorrichtung (20) zu empfangen und in Abhängigkeit vom Steuersignal sowie dem weiteren Steuersignal die Transportgeschwindigkeit des Transportmittels (36) zur Anpassung an die Taktung der Liefervorrichtung (10) und der Stapelverarbeitungsvorrichtung (20) zu steuern.
