[origin: CA2691556A1] The invention relates to a fixing wire, especially for applying treatment forces to a tooth. Said fixing wire should be prevented from moving in a tr anslatory and rotary manner or from being dislodged, using means which are a s simple as possible, with a short mounting and dismounting time. To this en d, the fixing wire comprises a widening region produced by plastic deformati on in order to be longitudinally fixed into a corresponding fixing recess of an orthodontic anchoring screw.
