[origin: CN101315490A] The invention relates to a liquid crystal display device that includes a liquid crystal display panel(12) with a plane visual side(14) and plural controllable liquid crystal boxes(18). By a light-emitting device(26), the display can selectively generate at least one first, one second and one third color light. In this setting, the light coming from the light-emitting device(26) and away from one side(16) of the visual side(14) lights up the liquid crystal display panel(12) .
