Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2008141814A1] The invention relates to a circuit arrangement for fault notification having a signal transmitter (1) for emitting error signals, having a fault notification line (46) connected to a fault notification evaluation unit (6), having a coupler (2) for the electrical isolation of the fault notification line (46) from the signal transmitter (1), and having a power supply (5) for providing an operational voltage for the coupler (2). Between the coupler (2) and the fault notification line (46), a connection circuit (3) is provided, applying a predetermined potential, the fault notification potential, to the fault notification line (46) when the operating voltage for the coupler (2) is insufficient. The coupler (2) furthermore controls the connection circuit (3) such that when the signal transmitter (1) emits an error signal, the connection circuit (3) applies the error signal to the fault notification line (46).
