Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2009000519A1] The invention relates to a diaphragm arrangement (16, 26, 39, 47, 62) for an air motion transformer (AMT). Said diaphragm arrangement (16, 26, 39, 47, 62) comprises at least one substantially meander-shaped diaphragm (16a) as well as air pockets (23, 59, 60) for generating sound as a result of the meander-shaped design of the at least one diaphragm (16a). In order to improve the radiation behavior of the diaphragm arrangement and at least reduce the concentration of sounds, the diaphragm arrangement (16, 26, 39, 47, 62) encompasses several diaphragm segments (A, B, C; a, b, c) which are arranged and/or designed such that the diaphragm arrangement (16, 26, 39, 47, 62) has a substantially common acoustic center.
