Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2159004A1] The method involves providing a treating body (1) made of elastic material such as lambswool (4) or foam plastic plate, with a cover (5). The treating body is rotated with a drive unit i.e. angle grinder or orbital eccentric machine, and the cover is fastened to the treating body by a clamping element (6). A carrier element (3) is formed at the treating body in a flexible or dimensionally stable manner. The cover made of flexible material is arranged above the lambswool, and the treating body is connected with the drive unit by a force transfer element (2). An independent claim is also included for a device for treating a varnished surface of a ship and/or an aircraft.
