Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2159327A2] The unit has a hollow body (18) made of plastic and extending along a longitudinal axis. A clamping device i.e. profile pillar, connects the hollow body with a protective plank arrangement (10) via clamping, where clamping connection of the hollow body with the protective plank arrangement is detachable under impulsive type external effect. The hollow body has an oval cross section or a polygonal cross section, where corners of polygonal cross sections are designed in a circular manner. The clamping device is made of metal and comprises of two separate clamping elements. An independent claim is also included for a protective plank arrangement that is utilized for limiting and securing a driving path.
