Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2159407A1] The system (1) has an electrically driven fuel conveying unit (4) arranged in a fuel tank (3). A supply pipe (11) is guided to an internal-combustion engine (2) of a motor vehicle. A pressure sensor (30) detects a pressure in the supply pipe. A control unit supplies electrical current to the fuel conveying unit with respect to signals of the sensor. A pressure limiting valve (27) is connected with the supply pipe. The valve releases or locks a connection of the supply pipe with the fuel tank, when the pressure in the supply pipe is above or below a predetermined pressure, respectively.
