The cooking device has a cooking device door for closing a cooking chamber. The cooking device door has a mounting element, a decorative strip (13) or a handle at the front side. The mounting element has a base body (17) made of plastic material and a decorative layer (15). The decorative layer of the mounting element is a metal foil or a thin metal sheet. The mounting element is connected with a door glass (7,9) of the cooking device door in single piece in plastic injection molding process. The decorative layer is made of aluminum, polybutylene terephthalate or polycarbonate. An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing a cooking device door of a cooking device.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Gargerät mit einer Gargerätetür (1) zum Schließen eines Garraums. Die Gargerätetür (1) weist frontseitig zumindest ein Anbauelement, etwa eine Zierleiste (13) oder einen Handgriff (11), auf. Dabei weist das Anbauelement einen Grundkörper (17) aus Kunststoffmaterial sowie eine Dekorlage (15) auf.
