The invention relates to a heat exchanger comprising: - a header; - at least one substantially vertical first pipe hanging down from the header and said first pipe being sealed off at the bottom; - a supply conduit connected to the header for supplying a heat exchanging fluid to the header; and - a discharge conduit running from the header for discharging heated heat exchanger fluid from the header.
