Abstract (en)
A positioning signalling apparatus (3;3') for fire extinguishers (2) provided with an optical device (16), e.g. a LASER, and an electronic circuit (15,23,24) for powering and controlling the optical device (16). The optical device (16) is configured so as to be placed on a fire extinguisher (2) in the form integrated therewith and so as to generate a focused light beam adapted to produce a luminous image (9) at a distance from the apparatus (3;3'), in order to promote the immediate identification of the fire extinguisher in case of fire. The apparatus (3;3') is further characterized by comprising wireless communication means to other apparatuses (3;3') in a network of fire extinguishers and to a central monitoring station.
