Abstract (en)

The purpose of the invention is to provide a portable alarm device for the protection of handbags, purses or any other object needing a protection system bound to the distance of the owner from the object to protect. The invention is made in two separate parts: the first part is to be held by the owner of the object to protect, the second is to be placed inside the object to protect. For practical reasons we will here call the first part TRANSMITTER (figure 1) and the second part RECEIVER, but the systems of the two parts are actually composed by two battery supplied wireless signal transceivers. In detail, the transmitter's characteristic is the activation of a visual and acoustic alarm that it contains whenever it is drawn out of the receiver's established metrical action range. This action range is set directly on the transmitter by the owner. Practically, the transmitter sends periodic coded calling signal towards its receiver and awaits an answering signal. The transmitter and receiver dialogue with a wireless signal in a 128 bit electronic key, this allows the realization of a system which can in no way be affected by the presence of any other identical alarm device that may be present in the same action range. Although this system may present various forms, for a practical and easy use the transmitter can be built in the form of a key ring and the receiver in that of a common credit card in order to carry it easily in a wallet. The transmitter's alarm siren can only be inactivated manually or by bringing the transmitter and receiver back in the established action range.
