Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2008155050A1] The invention relates to a polyester film having high transparency (70 to 99.5%), comprising barium sulfate particles having an average particle size of 0.7 to 7 µm provided with an inorganic coating. The coating is made of oxides, mixed oxides or mixtures of oxides of Si, Al, Sn, Fe, In and Sb, allowing the barium sulfate particles to be better embedded in the polyester matrix and thus minimizing the turbidity of the film. Mixed oxides of SiO2 und AI2O3are preferred. The preferred polyester is PET. <sub/>
