Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2009003297A1] A clamping device (1) is described for a hiking stick, trekking stick, Nordic walking stick, cross-country-skiing stick or downhill skiing stick for the releasable, axial securing of a tubular section (4) which can be pushed into an opening in the clamping device. In this case, the clamping device comprises a sleeve (2) which engages around the tubular section (4) at least in an axial section and clamps it in the closed state. The proposed structure is characterized in that the sleeve (2) has, at least in the region engaging around the tubular section (4), an axial slot (5) making the circumference of the sleeve variable in said region, and is of substantially encircling design in the remaining, axial region. Furthermore, it is characterized in that a respective clamping projection (8a, 8b) is arranged on the sleeve (2) on both sides of said slot (5), said clamping projection being engaged around by a clamping element (3) which has a recess (12), and in that, when the clamping element (3) is displaced or rotated on or around the clamping projections (8a, 8b), the clamping device (1) secures the tubular section (4) in its axial displaceability and/or in its rotatability about the longitudinal axis with respect to the clamping device (1).
