Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2009003766A1] The invention relates to a method for operating a drivetrain which has an automatic transmission (2) and a drive unit (1), wherein to perform a shift, in particular an upshift, a clutch which is connected between the automatic transmission (2) and the drive unit is firstly opened and, after the shift is performed, is closed again. According to the invention, a vehicle speed gradient or a transmission input rotational speed gradient or a transmission output rotational speed gradient or a wheel rotational speed gradient is monitored, wherein after the shift is performed, the clutch (4) is closed in such a way that the monitored gradient lies within a defined value range or assumes a defined value.
