[origin: EP2161130A2] The device (1) has a transfer unit (12) comprising a film transfer cylinder (21) and a counter pressure cylinder (22). A film winder (24) winds a transfer film (4) on a film collecting reel (27), and two film guiding devices (31, 32) are arranged at both sides of a transfer gap in a film web of the film. The film guiding devices comprise driven rollers (34, 37), and the transfer film is guided by the driven roller. One of the guiding devices is arranged in the film web between a film supply reel (25) and the gap. Another guiding device is arranged in the web between the gap and the winder.
