The centering unit (51) comprises a liftable and lowerable precentering mechanism (53), and a liftable and lowerable final centering mechanism (57). The precentering mechanism has multiple individual subcentering mechanisms. The precentering mechanism and the final centering mechanism are formed independently liftable and lowerable. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a handling machine for handling two grouped vessels; and (2) a method for aligning two grouped vessels.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Zentriereinheit (51) zum Ausrichten von mindestens zwei gruppierten Gefäßen, wobei zur verbesserten Ausrichtung sowohl ein heb- und senkbares Vorzentriermittel (53) als auch ein heb- und senkbares Endzentriermittel (57) bereitgestellt wird. Gemäß einer bevorzugten Ausführungsform kann das Vorzentriermittel mehrere Teilzentriermittel aufweisen, um so Gefäße, die von unterschiedlichen Einläufen kommen, mit einer Zentriereinheit zentrieren zu können.
