Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2161233A1] The carrier (1b) for moving an elevator cabin (1c) can shift it in a horizontal direction (V) along guide rails (6) at right angles to its normal vertical movement (B). The action moves the cabin from an operating position into a support position. The carrier movement, with the cabin, is from a main drive (7) or an auxiliary drive (2). The cabin is fixed (3) to the carrier and a lock (4) holds the carrier in the loading position.
