Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2161359A1] [Object] To eliminate the defects of the prior art in a technique for manufacturing a fabric of a stripe pattern using a number of knitting yarns (color yarns) exceeding the number of yarn feed fingers arranged in a yarn feed changer. [Means] The object is achieved by a stripe pattern knitting method in which a first feeder having a first yarn feed changer and a second feeder having a second yarn feed changer are used to knit one course. The first feeder performs welt needle selection. When a knitting yarn is newly fed to a knitting needle from the first yarn feed changer, the angle at which the yarn trapped by a trapper enters a yarn carrier is stably retained. After new yarns are fed to the knitting needles from the first and second yarn feed changers and formed into loops, old knitting yarns that cease to be fed are retained and cut at the same position.
