[origin: EP2161374A1] The method involves fabricating multiple straws (1) as multi-component fibers with core-shell-configuration. The synthetic turf includes a base layer (2), multiple straws and a muffling material (3). The straws are made of polyester of terephthalic acid, particularly polyethylene terephthalate or polybutylene terephthalate, where the polyester is derived from garbage materials. The muffling material is made of synthetic fibers twisted by yarns, where the yarns are selected from the group, polyethylene or polypropylene.
