The frame (2) has a cover (27) fixed to a base profile (3) that exhibits a fastening interface at a front side. The fastening interface is formed for attaching a cover profile (29), for fixing the cover and/or for retaining a connecting unit (58) for connecting the base profile with another adjacent base profile of another adjacent frame. The fastening interface exhibits a front wall for installation of the cover profile. The fastening interface exhibits a fastening bar for fixing the cover profile. A longitudinal slot is arranged between two cover brackets of the cover profile.

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Rahmen (2) eines Absorptionsmaterial für Raumschall aufweisenden Schallabsorbers, wobei der Rahmen ein Grundprofil aufweist, an dem eine raumseitige Abdeckung festlegbar ist, wobei erfindungsgemäß vorgesehen ist, dass das Grundprofil (3) an seiner Stirnseite (8) eine Befestigungsschnittstelle aufweist, die zum Anbringen eines Abdeckprofils (29) und/oder zum Festlegen der Abdeckung (27) und/oder zum Aufnehmen einer Verbindungseinrichtung (58) zur Verbindung des Grundprofils (3) mit einem angrenzenden Grundprofil (3) eines benachbarten Rahmens (2) gebildet ist.
