Abstract (en)

[origin: DE202007002626U1] A detector system (2a, 2b) sensing container (3) position and/or attitude in the outer casing (1), determines the direction of magnetic lines comprising a magnetic field. Position and attitude are determined in relation to two or more spatial coordinates (X, Y, Z). The detection system includes a computer. Results are determined from flux density and field line direction. The detector includes Hall elements. The component (2b) producing the field is mounted on the container (3), whilst the detector section (2a) is mounted on the fixed casing (1), or vice versa. Container- and casing mountings fix detector components (2a, 2b) in position. A permanent magnet used to generate the field, is optionally a ring-magnet. Various alternative detachable- or permanent fastening methods are described for the detector components, including screw-, clip-, and welded attachment. Stops (12) prevent collision between parts of the detector, resulting from relative movement. The washing load (7) is weighed using a device (10), especially a controller. This determines drum position and/or attitude. This device (10) is also able to determine imbalance from such measurements.
