[origin: WO2009000724A1] The invention relates to a vacuum sealing system comprising a compartment (20) provided with a suction device (22), an aeration device, and a suction tube (24). One end of the suction tube is connected to a vacuum pump (26) and the other end is connected to the suction device of the compartment by means of a connection element. Said system also comprises a vacuum measuring device (29) for measuring the vacuum level, a control device for controlling the vacuum sealing system, and a switching device (25) connected to the suction tube. The switching device is closed during the evacuation of the compartment by means of the vacuum pump via the suction tube, and is open following the completion of the evacuation by means of the vacuum pump, in order to guide air into the already evacuated suction tube, enabling the automatic vacuum sealing of the compartment.
