[origin: EP2163510A2] The device has a pipe block valve (20) for blocking a pipe section (10), which is provided between a tank-sided end region (11) and a dispensing-sided end region (12). A residue removal pipe (50) is branched off from the pipe section to a junction (51) and leads to an intersection (52) in the pipe section. The junction is arranged between the tank-sided end region and the pipe block valve at the pipe section. The intersection is arranged between the pipe lock valve and the dispensing-sided end region at the pipe section. A gas supply device (40) supplies compressed gas into the pipe section. An independent claim is also included for a method for removing a residue from a pipe section.
