[origin: EP2163719A2] The profile has two profiles (1, 2) comprising two insulating strip accommodators (4, 5) in which two connecting sections (6, 7) of an insulating strip (3) are accommodated. The accommodators are sectionally formed as pressing catches. One of the accommodators and one of the connecting sections form a thrust connection by a bulge (11) in the accommodator and a recess (12) in the connecting section. The bulge is interpositioned in the recess. The other accommodator and the other connecting section form a shear-resistant connection i.e. knurling connection. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing a composite profile.
