[origin: EP2165614A2] Hair extending or thickening involves providing strands of hair with a fastening element. The fastening element is soaked by applying solvent on the fastening element. The strands of hair are attached with own hair, where the solvent is evaporated. The fastening element includes 10 wt.%, preferably 25 wt.%, particularly 90 wt.% of synthetic polymer including polyurethane polymers. Independent claims are included for: (1) a method for removing hair extensions, which involves replacing strands of hair from the own hair; and (2) a kit-of-parts, which comprises strands of hair provided with fastening element, and solvent contained in a package.
