Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2009012901A2] The invention relates to material compositions comprising adult stem cells obtained from exocrine glandular tissue, and a carrier matrix in the form of a filament structure and/or of a mesh. The carrier matrix preferably consists of a plastic material which is tolerated by the body and can be degraded in the body. The material compositions of the invention are particularly suitable for use in regenerative medicine, e.g. for restoring injured or damaged myocardial tissue.
