[origin: WO2009000229A1] The invention relates to a method for weighing arbitrary goods using a scale, wherein the scale comprises a support surface (1), preferably a platform, for goods to be weighed and an interface (2) for transmitting data captured by the support surface (1) to at least one electronic data processing unit (3) and wherein, in the electronic data processing unit (3), at least one transmitted datum or the transmitted data are recorded and, optionally, processed. Said method is structured and refined with regard to a particularly secure application such that the transmitted data are fed back into the scale and the identity of said fed-back data is checked against the originally transmitted data by the scale. The invention further relates to a scale for performing said method.
