[origin: WO2008155625A2] The invention concerns a procedure for the treatment of a cathode-ray tube (T) comprising a screen (S), a cone (C) and a connection area (G) between the screen (S) and the cone (C). Said procedure also comprises an operation for cutting the cathode-ray tube (T) along a cutting plane (50). The cutting operation is carried out by arranging the cathode-ray tube (T) with the screen (S) substantially facing upwards. The invention also concerns a corresponding system.
