Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2169192A1] The device has a dosing valve (20) and a valve element (25) for adjusting a supply of compressed air and fuel to a nozzle element (23) corresponding to preset control parameters. A compressed air pipe (21) upstream of the nozzle element is brought together with a fuel pipe (18), such that the air and fuel pipes form a single common supply pipe (22) guided to the nozzle element. The fuel pipe branches off from a fuel supply pipe (17) guided to an internal combustion engine (3). The fuel supply pipe is provided downstream and upstream of low- and high pressure pumps, respectively. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a device for injecting fuel into an exhaust gas system of an internal combustion engine.
