Abstract (en)
The discharge lamp i.e. metal halide lamp (1), has an external piston (7) surrounding a discharge volume unit (2). The discharge volume unit includes filling containing thallium halides e.g. thallium iodide and thallium bromide, mercury and inert gas e.g. neon, argon, krypton and xenon, where portion of thallium iodide amounts to 25 percentage to 75 percentage of weight of sum of weight of both thallium iodide and thallium bromide. Content of the mercury is selected in a range of 3 to 30 milligram per cubic centimeters.

Die Hochdruckentladungslampe weist eine Metallhalogenidfüllung auf, wobei als Halogen Jod und Brom verwendet wird. Daneben wird Edelgas und Hg eingesetzt. Als Metall wird Thallium verwendet, wobei der Anteil des TlJ im Bereich 25 bis 75 Gew.-% der Mischung aus TlJ und TlBr liegt.
