[origin: WO2009000384A2] The invention relates to a system for reminding a patient of a drug intake and for monitoring whether a patient has taken his/her drugs from a blister package (10). Said system comprises a blister package (10) having a blister base (12) with at least one receptacle (14), molded out of a base film and containing a tablet (16) or a similar drug portion, and a cover film (18), which is sealed against the blister base (12) and can be forced through, an RFID tag (70), arranged on the cover film (18) above the receptacle (14) and having an RFID chip (72) with an individual identification code (40) and an RFID antenna (74) which is destroyed once the receptacle (14) is opened, an RFID reader, associated with the patient, for detecting RFID tags (70) that have not been destroyed, and software having a memory unit, associated with the RFID reader, for reading and storing data containing the instructions for a patient regarding drug intake and the identification codes (40) of the blister package (10).
