Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2009009736A1] A child resistant package comprising a container and a snap-on closure. The container having a neck finish including an annular locking ring with at least one notch having a locking rib and notch locating indicium. The snap-on closure disposed for rotary movement on the neck finish and comprising an end wall, a resilient peripheral skirt, and a crown extending from the end wall and the skirt to form a surface with a locking lug extending radially inwardly for alignment with said notch upon rotation of the closure for removal, snap beads which are co-planar with the locking lug and extending inwardly from the skirt are longer than the notch is wide, and a finger tab comprising indicium and extending from said skirt in alignment with said locking lug, wherein said snap beads cooperate said locking ring and skirt and being interengaged with locking lug upon applying and removing the closure.
